Graduation: A Landmark on The Journey
With pomp and fair that herald the final exams at HND level, A GRADUATE IS BORN!! into the society.
That was my position just yesterday, finally, I've been liberated so to say.
World here I come, was she even listening, the school environment was still the same, the walk home, the same except for some occasional congratulatory messages from well wishers, and baptism by water (you won't understand if you are not a student of polyunwana), the sleep was the same too, No something happened, my alarm was still on for the normal reading period and I woke up to do same, not until I remembered, it's over for the time being "you can sleep till day break" I said to myself.
This morning, I woke up in grace, thanked God for the sweet sleep, (it's been long) and his grace through the days of sleeplessness and then suddenly, I had a mood swing, a sober moment of reflection, the question was what next.?
Yes, my project is still there, that's not a problem, NYSC, that's normal, the bone of contention was the days after all these, the thought of the labor market made a jerk on my spine, I've been working on avoiding or controlling it anyway.
Then, my mind settled on a rosy spot, that's what to think about, my passions, hobbies, loved ones, who have loved and left me alone all these while.
Finally, I considered the time, no, not my wrist watch, then I discovered, it was time to build, the foundation has been laid, thanks to my able lecturers, now is the time to build on the foundation. I drew the road map 5 years from now, with pen and paper, I laid the virtual bricks to the desired future, five years from now, it stands tall and bright.
I love it from where it stands.
Who is saying I don't know the future. If I never knew I will be a graduate today I wouldn't have written JAMB 5 years ago. I live in the solace that what I can conceive I can Achieve.
Even thought the course is uncharted, yet I know that every thought of the mind has magnitude and direction.
To all my fellow graduants especially those from Electrical/Electronics Engineering, congrats and remember, today is the future your daddy told you about.
You are born special and great, never loose that believe.
To all my fans, am right here with you till the internet ends, I will be posting more frequently, after all, am not a student any longer.
